River Dragons invites plays to the Mekong delta. Every year, the bravest young people face each other in a famous contest to cross the legendary body of water. By building bridges with planks resting on stones, players cross the river to reach the village on the opposite bank. Players must program your actions well, avoid the enemies’ maneuvers, and be prepared for the unexpected interventions of the Mekong’s dragons.
In River Dragons, players work against one another and chaotically attempt to cross the Mekong. Simultaneously, players select five action cards to be performed from the nine actions available and then lay them down in order they are to be played. The turn is then resolved one card at a time. The actions allow players to place plank foundations, place planks, move their pawns, cancel other players’ actions, or remove planks or foundation stones. The first player to cross the river receives the Golden Dragon and wins!
River Dragons is recommended for 2-6 players, ages eight and up. Average playing time is 30 minutes.
