It’s a lot smaller than the other tamagotchis. The screen seems really deep set too. I like that there’s a reset button on it and the option to mute. But there’s no pause function. I really like the collab with hello kitty. Totally reliving my childhood again.Also wait for the price to come back down to normal MSRP not double the cost.Edit: my little character died January 2 RIP wonder what the lifespan time of these guys are

I am so in love with my hello kitty tamagotchi I ordered the red one as soon as I seen the cute little white hello kitty one, it has a bow and looks like her head. Its so much fun to keep feeding it and checking on it. I had one in the 90s and its the same fun feeling!! I highly recommend a tamagotchi if you love to take care of something.

It’s pretty good but the pictures lie. Their not that big as you see in my pictures but their still useable, their just small so if you have big hands then this would not be the best for you. That’s all I have to say. Also if you have a kid this is perfect for him/her.

I have collected Tamagotchis for quite awhile and have never had one like this. It keeps randomly resetting itself and making this demonic noise. Hello Kitty is my favorite, so I’m really disappointed.

This product is cute ( although tiny) but the tamagotchi keeps glitching. Despite taking care of it, when we go to feed it it makes a loud beep and goes back to the clock setting and there’s no way to get out Of it other than resetting the clock. Once you reset the clock, the Tamagotchi turns back into an egg and starts all over again. This has happened several times, I even returned the first one I got and it happened again with the new one.

I bought a Hello Kitty Tamagotchi on the official website from Amazon, but it only has the decoration of Hello Kitty, as the game is about Pacman, pacman characters, pacman games… There is no Hello Kitty in this tamagotchi. The product has scratches on the screen, the box seems like it was opened. At the back of the tamagotchi says 2019 when this tamagotchi is from 2020.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend and she was incredibly excited. This was her first Tamagotchi and she is a huge Hello Kitty fan.The characters are cute and the overall physical design is on point, but the software has a bug that breaks the toy:The leftmost button resets the device back to the setup during the feeding menu. This makes it impossible to actually use it for any length of time.It is disappointing, but it looks like other people are having issues with it as well. We hope that this is isolated to only the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi, but we will not be buying another Tamagotchi again.

This product is cool. My daughter loves it. However… it didn’t even make it a month before that batteries died. So before her 2nd character made it to London, the batteries died and she had to start all over. She was not happy. Mine is now doing the same thing. Maybe it would make a great gift if you’re adding it to a gift basket or something. (And it was $6.) But if you have the money to spend or just want to know what it’s like to own a TINY tamagotchi then this is perfect for you. I’m curious to see how long the battery will last. I’ll update when it stops working.*****Update*****About a month and a half ago the battery died. Overall I’m really happy with this! It’s so small and cute, and the simplicity of it makes it really easy to care for. This is my fourth tama by now so in the usual aspects of tama’s I adore it and the games are so much fun! The buttons are extremely small though so keep that in mind if your hands are on the larger side, I have smaller hands and still struggle a bit with the games.My only complaint is with the paint on the shell. As you can see it arrived with a number of scratches already even though it was sealed in the box. You can also feel the raised edge of the little decals around the edge of the white and I’m guessing those will chip off over time.Glad this is cheap but if you’re collecting I’d recommend getting two, one to play with and one to store for longevity since I really don’t see the quality of the paint holding up at all

As a collector and fan of tamagotchi and other virtual pets since they originally premiered in the 90’s- I can say this is a welcome and much needed edition to your array of digital pals… especially if you’re a Hello Kitty/Sanrio fan. The design of the shell is adorable and the character animations are wonderful. Because this is chibi/nano version of Tamagotchi- it’s not as needy or requires as much effort as a standard classic or color tamagotchi. Great for children and adults alike.

I am so in love with my hello kitty tamagotchi I ordered the red one as soon as I seen the cute little white hello kitty one, it has a bow and looks like her head. Its so much fun to keep feeding it and checking on it. I had one in the 90s and its the same fun feeling!! I highly recommend a tamagotchi if you love to take care of something.

When I first got it, my first reaction was, “why were all those reviews so bad?” The screen on the tamagotchi is fine, its not too dim lighting, the mini games are fun, can get boring after a while, but the animations are really cute, and overall, i say are fine! I found a couple reviews trying to ask how to turn down the volume, on my tamagotchi, you just press the right button, and quickly after, the left button. It may take a couple times to get to the menu, but it works. I don’t know if its the same on the white version, but personally it worked on the red. I found its easier to do it when he falls asleep. Its also convenient that there’s a clock if you press the middle button. It is about 30 seconds late, but it dosen’t really bother me. I dont know why there were so many bad reviews, i think its a good product. The only thing I dont like is, is it really worth my hard earned 20 bucks? ehhhh.. i’d say its worth 15. But, still, a good product, I recommend buying. (Side note- I think its more recommended for children, as its harder to see the screen, and pressing the buttons considering how small they are. Unless you’ll use it more as a decorative product, you should be fine.)

I’ve had this 5 days and it already glitches. The middle button continues to reset the tamagotchi. Every time I select to feed or care for it, or play it reset it. Super disappointed, I have many nano, like the Nezukotchi, and the gudetama, and I was excited to have a hello kitty one, but it is almost impossible to care. Do not buy it!!!

As a 90’s kid this made me feel very nostalgic! I love the hello kitty twist, it is so cute! Hello Kitty will bring your tamagotchi milk and apple pie and if you’re lucky she’ll deliver a bow for your tamagotchi to wear! I loved it. Of course my tamagotchi has since up and left me due to neglect haha but I’m looking forward to starting over when I have a little more time. This feels really small in your hand (pretty sure it’s smaller than the original) so if you are an adult with large fingers then some of the games may be more difficult. It’s also not as annoying as I remember it being as a child. I think beeps maybe every 2-5 hours but there’s an option to turn the sound off as well.

This item isn’t like the original tamagotchi you might have had in the 90s or the new color Tamagotchi Ons (and the like). It’s a nano, or mini tamagotchi, so it’s tiny and the features/functions are limited.Unlike some of the other reviewers, I haven’t had any issues with mine. I preordered several months in advance and have been using it since I received mine at release.Basically the game has 4 functions in addition to the time: feeding, games, cleaning, and turning the light on/off (when your tama sleeps, which they will do at 10pm).Feeding: if your Tama is hungry, you can feed them an apple pie (delivered by Hello Kitty), and if they’re sad, you can offer them milk (also brought by HK).Games: You can play 2 games, a piano and a balloon game. I honestly found these more challenging than the ones on the Tamagotchi Ons/Meets, but maybe that’s bc this device is so tiny. As far as I can tell, unlike in those versions, playing games doesn’t impact your Tama’s happiness.Cleaning: If your tama makes a mess, they’ll chirp and you can then press A to clean up.Light: Once they go to sleep, you can turn the light off. (I’m not sure if leaving it on makes a difference.)That’s about it.While this is a cute device, especially if you’re a fan of Hello Kitty, I’m not sure if it’s the best toy for a child bc of how small it is and how limited the functions are (they may get bored/frustrated quickly). That sad, you can neglect it compared to the Tamagotchi On/Meets for a lot longer, but you also can’t send it to a hotel/babysitter, either.One thing I will say is for such a small device it is LOUD.It also uses special batteries, though so far they seem to last longer than the AAAs do in the Tamagotchi Ons/Meets.I saw people complaining about this not including instructions, but it does. The paper is sandwiched between the layers of cardboard in the packaging, and are in several languages.I’ve included some photos, including one with a ruler and besides the large Tamagotchi On for comparison. It’s about the size of the screen on one of those.(Please note: I’ve added a crochet case to protect it and keep the decals from rubbing off, and I’ve changed the chain to a fabric strap, which are not included.)Overall, I think it’s not bad for $20, and I’m happy with it. Just make sure you know what you’re getting. If you want a more interesting/engaging Tamagotchi, and are a Hello Kitty fan, I would highly recommend importing the Sanrio Meets. It will cost a lot more but is worth it.

I was so excited to get these because I loved them as a kid. For $20 I was expecting a little bit more quality. Even the cheap ones in the 90’s were better than this. The screen is so small and dark that I can barely see the screen. There no built in back light which would make a huge difference. I did not look at the dimension’s of the toy, because I know they are small, but didn’t expect it to be too small to even see. Not just too small for my 29 year old eyes, but my 7 year old is holding it inches from her face. I can see her getting frustrated. Really kind of bummed that I spent $40 on two of these that seem to be more frustrating than fun. 🙁

Overall I’m really happy with this! It’s so small and cute, and the simplicity of it makes it really easy to care for. This is my fourth tama by now so in the usual aspects of tama’s I adore it and the games are so much fun! The buttons are extremely small though so keep that in mind if your hands are on the larger side, I have smaller hands and still struggle a bit with the games.My only complaint is with the paint on the shell. As you can see it arrived with a number of scratches already even though it was sealed in the box. You can also feel the raised edge of the little decals around the edge of the white and I’m guessing those will chip off over time.Glad this is cheap but if you’re collecting I’d recommend getting two, one to play with and one to store for longevity since I really don’t see the quality of the paint holding up at all

Sin embargo, su tamaño es muy pequeño (es un Tamagotchi nano), por lo que, es ideal para un niño. Me hubiera gustado que Bandai hiciese más grande ésta edición especial de su Tamagotchi por ese motivo le doy cuatro estrellas. Aunque, en general el producto cumple su función.

It was enjoyable to play with the first 2 days, then I had to work a 12 hour shift 2 days in a row and forgot to tend to her and she ran away from home. The following day 3, the toy just started to glitch. I had started over 6 times from setting the time, to seeing her grow to her adult form and then resting all over again. This sucks. But I also did not expect the tamagotchi to be so tiny. And the backlight is non existent so you have to play it in a well lit room. Idk, I love hello kitty so I’ll just add it to my keychain. I don’t recommend it as a “toy” more like a collectors item.

It’s a nano, or mini tamagotchi, so it’s tiny and the features/functions are limited.Unlike some of the other reviewers, I haven’t had any issues with mine. I preordered several months in advance and have been using it since I received mine at release.Basically the game has 4 functions in addition to the time: feeding, games, cleaning, and turning the light on/off (when your tama sleeps, which they will do at 10pm).Feeding: if your Tama is hungry, you can feed them an apple pie (delivered by Hello Kitty), and if they’re sad, you can offer them milk (also brought by HK).Games: You can play 2 games, a piano and a balloon game. I honestly found these more challenging than the ones on the Tamagotchi Ons/Meets, but maybe that’s bc this device is so tiny. As far as I can tell, unlike in those versions, playing games doesn’t impact your Tama’s happiness.Cleaning: If your tama makes a mess, they’ll chirp and you can then press A to clean up.Light: Once they go to sleep, you can turn the light off. (I’m not sure if leaving it on makes a difference.)That’s about it.While this is a cute device, especially if you’re a fan of Hello Kitty, I’m not sure if it’s the best toy for a child bc of how small it is and how limited the functions are (they may get bored/frustrated quickly). That sad, you can neglect it compared to the Tamagotchi On/Meets for a lot longer, but you also can’t send it to a hotel/babysitter, either.One thing I will say is for such a small device it is LOUD.It also uses special batteries, though so far they seem to last longer than the AAAs do in the Tamagotchi Ons/Meets.I saw people complaining about this not including instructions, but it does. The paper is sandwiched between the layers of cardboard in the packaging, and are in several languages.I’ve included some photos, including one with a ruler and besides the large Tamagotchi On for comparison. It’s about the size of the screen on one of those.(Please note: I’ve added a crochet case to protect it and keep the decals from rubbing off, and I’ve changed the chain to a fabric strap, which are not included.)Overall, I think it’s not bad for $20, and I’m happy with it. Just make sure you know what you’re getting. If you want a more interesting/engaging Tamagotchi, and are a Hello Kitty fan, I would highly recommend importing the Sanrio Meets. It will cost a lot more but is worth it.

The price was great considering that I bought 3 within a month. The quality when first “activated” was great. Our girls (ages 4-7) really loved their tamagotchi’s! We bought 2 white and 1 red within a couple of weeks. The red one worked as it should but after a week or so the white ones started glitching. They would reset themselves to a blinking 12:00 which is the initial set up of the tamagotchi. It’s a huge bummer because we’ve tried resetting them googled hacks short of opening them up trying to replace whatever battery within. I’m disappointed in the quality of sustainment for this product.

I purchased this hoping to relive a little of my childhood, but this missed the mark. It’s a lot smaller – cute, but almost too small to really enjoy. I try playing games with it, and the keys are so close together that I always lose. I also don’t remember my Tamagotchi dying after one day of non-use, but I could just be remembering that wrong. All and all, still cool – just not what I was looking for.

As a 90’s kid this made me feel very nostalgic! I love the hello kitty twist, it is so cute! Hello Kitty will bring your tamagotchi milk and apple pie and if you’re lucky she’ll deliver a bow for your tamagotchi to wear! I loved it. Of course my tamagotchi has since up and left me due to neglect haha but I’m looking forward to starting over when I have a little more time. This feels really small in your hand (pretty sure it’s smaller than the original) so if you are an adult with large fingers then some of the games may be more difficult. It’s also not as annoying as I remember it being as a child. I think beeps maybe every 2-5 hours but there’s an option to turn the sound off as well.

I bought three of these for my kids and they are all dead now. I don’t mind replacing the battery, but I think it’s pitiful that it had such a short life. If it keeps happening I’m not going to keep replacing it. Such waste
