Are you a werewolf? If you aren’t, is your neighbour? How safe do you feel living in a small village where anyone might be a killer?
Are You a Werewolf? takes place in a small village which is haunted by werewolves. A vengeful group of villagers must figure out who among them is a werewolf before it’s too late. Each player is secretly assigned a role – Werewolf, Villager, or Seer. A Moderator controls the flow of the game.
The game alternates between night and day phases. At night, the Werewolves secretly choose a Villager to kill, and the Seer can see whether another player is a Werewolf or not. During the day, the Villager who was killed is revealed and is out of the game. The remaining Villagers then vote on the player they suspect is a Werewolf, who gets lynched and killed.
Werewolves win when there are an equal number of Villagers and Werewolves. Villagers win when they have killed all Werewolves.
Are You a Werewolf? is a social game that requires no equipment to play, and can accommodate almost any large group of players. The manufacturer’s recommendation is for 7-16 players ages 12 and up, but it can easily accomodate more. One game takes anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes to play.
