The ideal desktop model of the engine to be coupled with the tender in the passage of the railway. This model of the locomotive was created specifically for the opening of the Stockton and Darlington railroad road, which occurred on September 27, 1825. Led by Stephenson personally, Locomotive nine miles dragged a train with coal weighing eighty tons, reaching on one of the sections of the road speed of 24 miles per hour. The length of the boiler of the locomotive was 9.9 feet, diameter – 4 feet. The cylinders were two, with a diameter of 10 inches, mounted vertically. The four driving wheels were connected in pairs by side pistons, as in the steam locomotives of the XX century, which are familiar to us. The whole structure weighed 6.5 tons and was supplied with a tender to provide the steam engine with coal and water. The 3D Locomotion wooden puzzle measures 39.9 x 18 x 10.4 cm when completed. Total number of pieces is 325.
